Custom fabrication is one of the three core services at McMahons Welding Services. We build steel structures, brackets, gates, railings and frames to the exact specs you need. Every piece is measured, cut, fit and welded with the same standard of quality, whether it's a simple bracket or a one-off build.

Custom Handrails

Our gallery shows a custom metal handrail installed on granite steps in Maine. Handrails have to be strong, sit level and look right where they're installed, and granite steps leave no room for sloppy fit-up. We build and install them so they hold up through Maine winters and stay solid for years of everyday use.

Metal Signs

We also build custom metal signage. One of our projects is the sign we fabricated for Meeting Grounds Cafe. A sign is part of how a business looks to everyone who drives by, so the details matter as much as the welds.

Custom Smokers

Some of the best builds start with something that already exists. Our gallery includes a custom smoker built from a reclaimed tank, taking a rusted tank and turning it into a working smoker. If you have an idea for a smoker or another custom piece, call and talk it through with us.

TIG Welding and Stainless Exhaust

For work that needs clean, precise welds, we do TIG welding, including polished stainless steel exhaust fabrication and precision bead work. You can see close-ups of that bead work in our project photos.
